A closed loop between observation and action
Why Verdant’s architecture routes every AI decision through a deterministic safety controller before acting on the crop.

Every Verdant decision starts from a real measurement and goes through a safety controller before acting on the environment. The loop starts again with each new observation: measure, decide, act.
The steps of the loop
- Sensors: temperature, humidity, substrate moisture, light, CO₂.
- Collection: continuous, timestamped data acquisition.
- Analysis: putting measurements in the context of the crop’s needs.
- AI agent: proposes agronomic actions.
- Safety controller: deterministic validation before execution.
- Actuators: irrigation, ventilation, lighting, heating.
An AI that proposes, a deterministic controller that validates.
This separation is meant to ensure that no uncertain decision is ever applied directly to the physical world.
